Monolith of Time is our first album, a very heavy record, ranging from slow and doomish parts to blastbeats, guitars like a jackhammer puncturing your brain, and gloomy background vocals. Drums and bass are very clear and independent, enhancing the heaviness even more. The music has a somber mood all along the album, a mood in the vein of Incantation, Dead Congregation, Krypts, by the other hand, it also features lots of odd time signatures and elaborated arrangements.
The lyrics speak about themes related to ancient civilisations, their culture and their wars.
------------

about
Incitatus (Latin pronunciation: [in.ki.ˈtaː.tus]) was the favored horse of Roman emperor Caligula (reigned 37–41 AD). According to legend, Caligula planned to make him a consul.
His name is a Latin adjective meaning "swift" or "at full gallop".
Caligula said that he planned to make Incitatus a consul, and that the horse would "invite" dignitaries to dine with him in a house outfitted with servants there to entertain such events. Inctatus had a stable of marble, with an ivory manger, purple blankets, and a collar of precious stones.
lyrics
A shiny purple coat
For an always tacit priest
Eating golden oats
A jewel-necklaced beast
It shines plain irony
A steady consul oath
Animal insanity
For the senate to loathe
The dinner is placed
In the ivory trough
Sneering at their hate
His sarcastic scoff
A house made of marble
In the unicorn dome
Under the crafty corbel
A fortune for Rome

These guys must have fun reading how people try to pigeonhole them into some genre. OK then: A bit of black, a bit of prog, a bit of - do I hear NWOTHM? over solid melodic death with haunted vocals. Excellent and the longer you play it the better it gets.
How come nobody mentioned the bass? YomaBarr
